学修上の助言
【授業の進め方】
The key word is practice. Students will have many chances to practice different aspects of English. We will have discussions, role plays, guessing games, Q&A sessions, listening practice, free talking, reading and story telling, direction giving and following, vocabulary reinforcement and board games. Most of the activities will be pair-work or group-work. All students will keep a journal in English. You will write in this every evening. In addition, you can use your journal to write down new vocabulary and structures. About 1/3 of the Camp will be done on campus and online, and 2/3 at the Camp itself over 3 days, 2 nights.

(Lin) I have been teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) for more than 10 years. It is my goal to provide an English-speaking friendly environment for my students to practice using English as a tool to explore the world or to develop their career. I adapt flipped learning approach in my classroom where students study and prepare online before coming to class. In class, we practice using English in conversation, discussions or presentations. I enjoy seeing students develop their confidence in using English.

(Koch) I have taught at SGU for 7 years and counting. Before that, I taught ESL (English as a second language) and coordinated social activities for students of various cultural and linguistic backgrounds in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2009/2010, and then in private language schools in Japan, in 2011-2014.

(Muir) I have been teaching various courses in English language and communication at SGU for more than 10 years.

備考
You don't need to be "good at English." You only need a positive attitude and to actively take part in the activities. Be active, participate, take challenges, and most of all, enjoy! In addition to structured language activities and exercises, we will have opportunities to use English freely at meal times and recreational activities.
