授業のねらい
1. Develop languages that are used in discussion. Such as entering a discussion, agreeing and disagreeing, proposing your ideas and giving supporting ideas.
2. Enhance communication skills especially in one-on-one or group discussion.
3. Develop the 4 skills in English: listening, reading, speaking and writing.
4. Increase vocabulary to talk about current events.

Uplon the completion of this course, you will be able to:
1. Take part in discussions and use appropriate language.
2. React in an English conversation appropriately.
3. Learn vocabulary to discuss current events. 
授業の進め方
学修上の助言
There are 4 different discussion topics. Each topic focuses on different type of language for discussion. You need to learn and practice using the functional language to achieve the communication goals. Also, you need to acquire the vocabulary related for each topic in each discussion.

You will need to prepare for discussion topics and take part in dicussion. 
ICTを活用した双方向型授業の有無
ALL assignments will be on Moodle. Some classes will be on-demand. But most classes will be required in a face-to-face setting.

授業科目に関連する実務経験の内容とその経験を活かした授業の展開
I have been teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) for more than 10 years. It is my goal to provide an English-speaking friendly environment for my students to practice using English as a tool to explore the world or to develop their career. I adapt flipped learning approach in my classroom where students study and prepare online before coming to class. In class, we practice using English in conversation, discussions or presentations. I enjoy seeing students develop their confidence in using English.
